The Scientific Society for Measurement, Automation and Informatics (MATE) was founded in 1952 to provide a forum for experts active in the field of measurement and automation.

The headquarters of the Society is located in Budapest just opposite to the building of the Hungarian Parliament.

 

MATEMain objectives of MATE:

  • to establish and maintain professional contacts on national and international level,
  • to organize national and international conferences, symposia, workshops and training courses,
  • to organize exhibitions and trade-shows and to provide professional assistance for Hungarian and foreign companies,
  • to provide other services belonging to the activity area of the Society.

MATEManaging boards, officers:

The highest managing board is the General Assembly which meets regularly in each year. All members of MATE are invited to the General Assembly with discussion and voting rights. The General Assembly elects the officers and the members of the Presidential Executive Board which has quarterly meetings. The Secretariat headed by the Secretary General provides all the managerial tasks and ad hoc jobs.
